It is no news that the kasavu saree is an integral part of Kerala culture. The six yards of sheer elegance can lighten up any occasion it is worn to. Though particularly seen at temples, weddings and festivals, the saree is even good for a casual pilgrim outing. This saree worn by actress Anusree Nair seems like a fine choice. This is designed by Supriya Kuthampully weavers.
Woven in a pure silk base, the body of the saree is beautified with gold squares. It is further enhanced with a solid kasavu border also hand-woven that powers its elegance. She decided to go with a kasavu blouse with an ivory body. Unlike the saree, it is punctuated with aari work in gold.
She opted for a double haar in antique gold, a pair of earrings, a ring and a set of bangles by Akshaya Gold. A flower-adorned bun with smokey eyes, a bindi, blushed cheeks and red lips worked its magic.
