In yet another episode of Kankatala Q&A, the host Shilpa Reddy gave a nod to Indian weavers by wearing a saree boasting the craftsmanship of Indian weavers. This time the fashion designer chose to wear a maroon Sambalpuri Ikat saree by Kankatala.
Check out the pictures to see how she styled it-
The traditional maroon bodied saree has motifs featuring shell, wheels and flowers that showcase the rich Odia culture in hues of white and brown. However, the body is offset by a red pallu that depicts stories from the everyday lives of the tribal women in Orissa. These tones blend together seamlessly to shade the dramatic border of the saree. Shilpa wore a red buttoned extra long-sleeved blouse complementing the trim of the saree.
Shilpa accessorized the handwoven saree with a long gold neckpiece and a pair of statement jhumkas. Perfectly shaded eyes with nude lips, red bindi and simple hairdo completed her look.
