Yesterday was the birthday of the saint and founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Ji, celebrated worldwide as Gurpurab. On an occasion such as this, our favourite celebrities braved the conditions to visit their nearest Gurudwara.
One among them was actress Pooja Hegde. After visiting the gurudwara in Santa Cruz, the actress also distributed food among the needy to keep up with the spirit of the festival.
Keeping in mind the sensibilities of the occasion, Pooja wore an off-white short-sleeve Anarkali set by Manish Malhotra.
Not only is the collection an ode to Kashmiri art but also a tribute to the artisans. Therefore, kurta is adorned with Kashida and kalidar worked floral motifs along with thread, beads and pearls.
The dupatta that Pooja left flowing is a vision in a tulle combined with intricate designing matching the kurta while the bottoms are sans any designs. Pooja wore pearl drop earrings to match the kurta and completed her look with simple juttis and open hair.
