Ganesh Chaturthi/Vinayaka Chavithi is an auspicious festival celebrated with great vigor in our country. Due to Covid-19, gathering restrictions have been imposed throughout the country. Though we could not celebrate the festival at the same scale as previous years but the spirit was as high as ever. A lot of celebrities took to social media and shared glimpses of the Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 celebrations at home with their families. The internet was brimming with the hand-made Lord Ganesha idols as the celebs decided to go eco-friendly this year by making idols out of pure clay.
Vishnu Manchu
It was a perfectly co-ordinate family affair for the actor Vishnu Manchu’s family in kalamkari outfits. While the actor wore a printed kurta with a cream base, his wife Viranica decided to go for a mustard yellow kalamkari print silk saree.
The actor’s twin daughters, Ariaana and Viviana, made a statement of their own in their beautiful printed blue lehengas with golden border paired with black cholis. The chokers donned by these cuties were to die for!
The little ones, Avram and Ayra, looked adorable in their own coordinated kurta-pajama and lehenga-choli sets. Viranica Manchu designed all these outfits under her label Ava Masion.
Allu Arjun
Allu Arjun posted a family picture on Instagram marking the occasion. While the actor wore a beige linen kurta pajama set by Son of a Noble, his wife Sneha looked simply divine in a metallic peach linen kurta set by Anavila.
Let’s talk about kids. Though Arha left us breathless in colourful silk lehenga paired with pink embroidered blouse, Ayaan too looked adorable in orange printed jacket with kurta dhoti set. You can grab the same for your kids from Samta and shruti studio.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
On Ganesh Chaturthi, Shilpa looked coruscating in a white printed kurta set paired with kamarbandh and pink dupatta coordinating with her son Viaan designed by Puneet Balana.
Shilpa was then seen bidding adieu to Bappa in a printed yellow and white kurta with palazzo set. The actress gave major fashion inspiration as she wore the dupatta in a pallu style along with the traditional gold Marathi nath. Again, she left us in awe while coordinating her outfit with son Viaan.
Sonali Bendre
Sonali Bendre looked nothing but elegant in a basil linen jamdani sari paired with a golden blouse by Anavila. The multi layered gold necklace along with dainty earrings perfectly complemented the yellow plus white flowers in her hairdo.
Niddhi Agerwal
Niddhi Agerwal posted a picture on instagram with a hand-made Lord Ganesha idol while urging everyone to make eco-friendly choices. She looked simple yet beautiful in a beige and white chikankari kurta set paired with silver jhumkaas.
Nithiin and Shalini
The newly-weds Nithiin and Shalini performed an intimate puja at their home. The actor stuck to a simple linen shirt paired with jeans whereas Shalini chose a traditional avatar. The pink anarkali with subtle white embroidery and organza dupatta looked beautiful with emerald and polki chandbalis.
Pooja Hegde
Pooja Hegde performed Ganesh Pooja at her home wearing a multi-colored printed kurta by Saaksha & Kinni.
Namrata Shirodkar
Namrata Shirdokar, as well as her kids, kept it quite simple for the Ganesh Chaturthi puja this year. Though the kids looked cute in casual western outfits, the actress wore a comfortable pink striped kurta with white pajama.
Megastar Family
This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi proved to be extra special for the megastar Chiranjeevi as it coincided with his 65th birthday. The actor was seen celebrating both the occasions with his family, all dressed in traditional outfits. Chiranjeevi wore a classic white kurta dhoti set and his son Ram Charan wore a red linen kurta pajama set. While his wife Surekha wore a beautiful mint green saree, the daughter-in-law Upasana looked pretty in an overall printed anarkali set.
