Mehendi Function Dresses
The Dimply actress Deepika chose a royal look for her mehendi function. Yes, she simply ditched the in-trend fusion outfits for mehendi ceremony. She bragged her swag in a blush pink anarkali suit designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Opposed to Deepika, we saw Priyanka enjoying the mehendi ceremony in a bright multi-colored ghagra choli. Designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, this rich florescent color attire looks fabulous on the Desi girl.
Wedding Dresses
On the actual wedding event both actresses wore completely different wedding outfits. In these events of getting married to their Mr. Right, both actresses have two ceremonies. Where Priyanka had a Catholic and Hindu Punjabi wedding, Miss Padukone had a Sindhi as well as Konkani wedding.
In her Sindhi wedding, Deepika locked her royal look in a Gota Patti work lehenga designed by Sabyasachi. Interestingly she personalized this attire to exude the old-world charm by pairing it up with a duppata carved with ‘Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava’ on the border.
Following the catholic manners of wedding, Priyanka wore a beautiful white wedding dress. The complete look of the actress was really a vision to behold in the wedding gown designed by iconic designer Ralph Lauren.
This breathtakingly beautiful wedding dress features floral and scroll motifs along with craftsmanship of hand-embroidery. Literally, replicating the over-all fairy-like look of PeeCee the dress has a stunning 75-feet long tulle veil.
To give a personalized touch, Priyanka has added hand-stitched phrases of Nick’s full name (Nicholas Jerry Jonas) along with her parents’ names (Madhu and Ashok) and wedding date.
For her Konkani wedding, Deepika chose a traditional minimalistic red and golden Kanjeevaram silk saree. And, this saree from Bengaluru based brand Angadi Galleria was given a bit of Sabyasachi Mukherjee designer touch.
On the other hand, the desi girl has chosen red custom-made Sabyasachi lehenga. And, this was a real gem from the celebrity designer to take our breaths away in all red.
After Wedding Functions – Reception
After having grand wedding ceremonies both the star couples hosted multiple receptions. Let’s have a look at reception outfits of both celebrity couples.
At Bengaluru reception, again Deepika gracefully donned a golden Kanjeevaram silk saree. Interestingly, this saree was gifted by her mother purchased from House of Angadi – a famous ethnic saree store of Bengaluru .
We loved Deepika and Ranveer’s outfits inspired by Pakistani weddings at their second wedding reception. Featuring a long veil on the head with chikankari details was the gem royal look of Deepika. The complete attire was designed by celebrity designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
The star couple rocked their Mumbai reception in all B-town style. Deepika wore a red high low gown by Zuhair Murad.
To add the oomph quotient to the outfit there is a long trail in the gown.
For the post wedding party hosted by Ranveer’s sister Ritika, Deepika donned a modern Sabyasachi Dil Guldasta lehenga. Her kohl-rimmed eyes and braided hairdo with red roses by Gabriel Georgiou completed the look.
Priyanka looked fantastic at her reception in a mono tone champagne-hued outfit. Again, she donned her desi girl image in style in this custom-made Falguni and Shane Peacock lehenga. The outfit has millions of crystals and was created by 80 craftsmen and 12,000 man hours to complete.
Priyanka and Nick hosted a second wedding reception in Mumbai. The beautiful bride has chosen a royal blue strapless anarkali suit by Sabyasachi.
At their third wedding reception, Priyanka was seen in a beautiful Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla design. She donned a custom-made tulle skirt with hand-embroidered crystal and beads work paired with a matching lace blouse. Along with it, she looks stunning with embroidered stole on one shoulder, fall around hair and statement diamond necklace.
