Wedding lehenga is something we spend upon without hesitating at all. But alas! we only get to use it once, or by maximum twice and then have to give up on it and store it in the back of your closet. Well, that’s not very great isn’t it? Therefore, here are some of the ways by which you can renew your wedding lehenga and use it more often.
1. Turn it into an Anarkali
You can get a contrast-colored garment and tailor it into a bodice. Use it to attach it to the lehenga and make an anarkali out of it. Now you can use it anywhere, to family functions and ceremonies. Also, if you think the lehenga is too heavy for that, you can lose a layer or two of the lehenga and make them into dupattas you can use with various dresses.
2. Dupatta on other ensembles
Usually, the dupatta you wear with your lehenga is a bit heavy. To neutralize it, take off any extra embellishments and use it as a dupatta on your anarkalis and chudidars. However, make sure the chudidars and the anarkalis you’re using the dupatta with are plain and as simple as possible to balance out the look.
3. Reuse The Blouse
You can also reuse the blouse with other sarees. As the wedding blouse would be fully embroidered, you can always use them with a plainer and simpler saree to balance out the look. This gives you a very rich and chic look. Check out these pictures to get an idea of reusing the lehenga blouse with sarees.
4. Make it Simpler
Along with using the choli and blouse separately with other outfits from your wardrobe, you can also use your wedding lehenga for occasions like weddings and family ceremonies. That is, by making it simpler. Remove the gotas and the borders of the lehenga and any extra embellishments. Now you can happily use this simpler lehenga with a contrast-colored choli!
