Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016 is only getting bigger and better. Day 2 was dedicated to Indian Textiles and Sustainable Fashion where Gaurang Shah did complete justice to the theme. Gaurang Shah’s collection “Calico” draws inspiration from the early 20th century. Apart from his signature khadi-jamdani sarees, there are a lot of interesting gowns featuring “Tree Of Life” motifs, floral weaving and everything that belonged to the royal Mughal era. Interesting drapes and pleats made an instant statement. With a variety of colors, motifs and textures, who wouldn’t fall in love with the royal romance?
