Be it ethnic dupattas or the heavily worked upon dupattas or even the simpler plain dupattas, we’ve loved them for all the grace and glamour they add to our outfits. Draping them right, however, is the only way we can justify all of the dupatta’s beauty and let it add plenty more of beauty to our outfits.
So how do you drape your dupatta right so that you bring out all of its prettiness? To help you with just that, we’ve listed out five ways in which to drape your dupatta so it can rev up the glamour of your attire – be it a salwar kameez or a lehenga. Check them out!
1. Spreading it out
The classy way of wearing a dupatta – spreading out on your outfits is definitely one really beautiful way to wear them. It never fails to work especially if there’s some pretty work done on them.
2. Over one arm & one shoulder
Wearing your dupatta over one shoulder is a great way to add elegance to your outfit and not cover it up especially if you’d like to show off your outfit without covering it. However, instead of leaving it loose on the other end, drape it over the other arm and carry off your anarkali or salwar suit like a pro!
3. Wearing it over just the arms
The best way to wear your dupatta without letting it interfere with the outfit’s beauty would be to drape it over both of your arms. This can make you look like royalty on the red-carpet too!
4. Tying it into a knot
Knotting it up, a style that was much prevalent in the 90’s is a great way to go if you would like to add that dash of chic-ness to your salwar kameez attire. We especially love how Vidya Balan did the knot!
5. Belt it up
Yet another gorgeous way to wear your dupatta is to belt it up at your waist. It is elegant and amps up the glam quotient of your outfit.
