Every LFW season, there’s one designer who never fails to stun with his gorgeous, brightly colored, richly textured traditional weaves and that is Gaurang Shah! This season at the Lakme Fashion Week winter festive 2015 as well, Gaurang Shah’s silks had everyone fall in love with them. Bright shades of yellow, red and orange were the colors that he painted his sarees with for the most part this time around.
Here are a few of his stunning sarees and anarkalis that oozed grandeur all along…!
Paithani, Banarasi, patola and Kanjeevaram sarees , like always were Gaurang Shah’s picks and with his big and beautiful borders to add to them, the sarees were gorgeous.
Traditional kanchipuram silks with a contemporary touch to them were among the collection.
Local weaves were used quite a bit this time by Gaurang Shah to weave out some amazingly beautiful designer sarees with some silk and some paithani borders added to them.
And then there were more traditional weaves with a thick and big gold border that was typical to Gaurang Shah’s creations.
Long and flowy anarkalis, which were also made of silk were among the collection. The heavy silk dupattas were a value addition to the glitzy anarkalis.
Gorgoeus lehengas which were also made of brightly colored silk were a part of the collection.
And then there were more floor length anarkalis that comprised the collection, all gorgeously textured in rich silk fabric.
With colors and designs that stun, Gaurang Shah’s weaves, like always, were fit for the queens!
